All about Foton Scents

The most common question people have about Foton Candles is "are they scented?". The answer is - yes and no. We offer about a dozen scented Foton options but also a variety of unscented Foton Pearled Candles.

Here are Foton Candle scent options, available in the white color only:

Most of our colored products come unscented so you could use them strictly for the ambiance, or you could add your own scent to them.

If you’re looking to customize your candle experience, it’s possible to add your own fragrance to our Scent Free products with a little creativity and caution.

How to safely add scent to your Scent Free Foton Candle:

  1. Pour unscented Foton Pearls into a suitable container*
  2. Place your Foton Wick into the candle pearls, leaving only a short tip out.
  3. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or candle fragrance oil close/around the wick BEFORE lighting it.
  4. Light your Foton Candle and enjoy.

It's important to add fragrance oils to your candle BEFORE lighting it for fire safety as oils are highly flammable. This allows the oil to gently mix into the melt pool as the pearls around the wick start melting.

*If you're wondering which container is suitable and safe to use for your Foton Candles, check out this blog post. Hint - the container size is most important!

Can you add different scents to the same candle?

Yes, you definitely can! With our Foton Scent Free Candle, you can easily switch your candle's fragrance whenever you want. Designed for versatility, our unscented candle allows you to change scents with ease, giving you a customizable and fresh fragrance candle experience every time.

When you're done enjoying your self-scented Foton, simply remove the used wick and melt pool containing the scent you added the first time. Then, add a new wick and drops of a new scent close to the wick to enjoy a new aroma that suits your mood, season, or home décor.

SAFE, ECO-FRIENDLY CANDLES MADE WITH NON-TOXIC INGREDIENTS

We care about your health and the environment! Our Foton Candles are made with clean, non-toxic ingredients and are free from paraffin, soy, and common allergens. We carefully choose both natural and synthetic fragrances for our scented versions, ensuring they are free from phthalates, parabens, and other harmful chemicals. This means you can enjoy a safe, eco-friendly burn every time, knowing your candle is as clean as it is beautiful.

Why Choose Foton Unscented Candles?

Scent Free candles are perfect for:

  • Allergy Sensitivity: Ideal for individuals who are sensitive to fragrances or have allergies.
  • Versatility: They can complement any environment without competing with other scents in the room.
  • Customizability: You have the freedom to create your own scent experience, tailored to your preferences.

Important Safety Considerations

While adding scent can enhance your candle experience, it’s crucial to prioritize safety:

  • Flammability: Always add fragrance oils BEFORE lighting the candle. Never add scents to a burning candle, as this can cause flare-ups and pose a fire hazard.
  • Small Amounts: Start with a few drops and increase gradually. This not only ensures safety but also helps you avoid overpowering scents. More fragrance drops does not always mean stronger scent throw!
  • User Responsibility: Modifying candles is done at your own risk. Be aware that adding colors or scents may alter the candle’s burning properties or cause safety issues.

Please keep in mind oils are very flammable and should NEVER be added to a burning candle. You'll find that some oils work better than others, so experiment carefully until you find some that work best for you. We recommend using essential oils and fragrances that are suitable for candle-making to avoid issues with burning or scent throw.

Always remember to prioritize safety, and enjoy the process of creating a cozy, scented haven in your home! We hope this guide inspires you to get creative with your Foton Pearled Candles.
