Foton Candle pearls are plant-based, vegan, and burn cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. Our pearls are derived from certified sustainably sourced and highly purified plant-based wax. They do not contain paraffin, soy or any known allergens. We use both natural and synthetic fragrances to scent our scented versions. Our scents are free of phthalates and parabens.

About the scents...
Foton candles have a medium to mild scent throw as they're often used for large centerpieces. If you're looking for a strong scented candle, Foton may not be right for you.
Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them.
What about the wicks?
Plenty of wicks are included with every Foton candle. Foton samples are too small to safely burn, therefore no wicks are included. Each wick burns around 12 hours, just make sure to insert the wick all the way into the pearls to maximize the burn time. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you want to refresh your candle.
Safe for pets
Our pearls are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets since they’re technically not edible and burning with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
Do they float?
All of our white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least a 2" height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water.

We offer both unscented and various scented versions in the white color only. You can see all the scent descriptions in one of the images and in the drop-down menu above. Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them by adding essential or candle fragrance oils close to the wick before lighting it.

Nope, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. That said, we give you plenty of wicks with every Foton so you could refresh your candle as often as you'd like to make it look new again.
You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time.

Wicks are not included with Foton Scent or Color Samples because our samples are too small to safely burn. The samples are intended to smell the scent options and see the color in person to help decide which candle to buy.

Great color, perfect scent. Filled bottom with less expensive candle sand, but topped with my favorite scent so far. I used a mixture of wood and regular wicks. I have plans to add stencils to this a bit later.

Trouble lighting the wooden wick!
Ended up using a regular wick I had.
Smells good, color could be darker. It is a pinkish beige that is not attractive in my glass container.

I’ve been looking for eco friendly and sustainable candles since I go through them so fast. I love that this can fill any container, I haven’t found any refill candle service that does that. The pumpkin scent is so warm and inviting and not too sweet (I don’t get a headache like I do with Bath and Body Works Candles). The quality is so nice. I can’t wait to get more scents!

This was my first Foton candle purchase. I purchased the Cozy Crackle and could not be more pleased with the wonderful fall scent. The aroma reminds me of a mild brown sugar vanilla with a hint of pumpkin spice. It smells delicious. The candle burns long, and even after the wick burns out the scent doesn’t, the fragrance lingers on for hours.

I wasn't sure when I ordered this scent if I'd like it. I'm pretty particular and I get headaches from some scents. However, Cozy Crackle exceeded my expectations! It's a soft fall scent yet packs a punch. It nicely fills my home with the scent but isn't overpowering. I HIGHLY recommend this scent if you're a fall girl like me.

I love these candles! Very happy with mine. I’m just not sure why I continue to get wood wicks when they never really burn. I light them, they turn to ash instantly and they are gone. Poof! Why waste time with them? Just send the regular wicks please.
Thank you for your feedback. We'd love to help! We do understand that our product is a bit unconventional and there are some do's and don'ts in order to get the max benefit from your Foton. Be sure to push the wick all the way in, leaving just barely the tip out to light. This will give you the max burn time of 12 hours per wick. We hope you this helps! The concept is great! So easy to set up, burn and reuse. The scent smells wonderful in the bag, but no scent can be smelled when burning. Kinda defeats the purpose of selling candle scents.
