Foton Candle pearls are plant-based, vegan, and burn cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. Our pearls are derived from certified sustainably sourced and highly purified plant-based wax. They do not contain paraffin, soy or any known allergens. We use both natural and synthetic fragrances to scent our scented versions. Our scents are free of phthalates and parabens.

The burn time varies greatly based on how it's used. Are you using 1 or more wicks at a time? Do you relight the same wick or replace it to refresh your candle? How long do you burn your candle before refreshing it?
That said, Foton burns slower than normal candles and our 18 oz candle provides up to 120 hours of burn time, longer than most candles. Our 64 oz candle provides up to 400 hours of burn time and 144 oz candle up to 960 hours of burn time.

About the scents...
Foton candles have a medium to mild scent throw as they're often used for large centerpieces. If you're looking for a strong scented candle, Foton may not be right for you.
Please note all of our colored versions (except limited edition products) currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them.
What about the wicks?
Plenty of wicks are included with every Foton. Each standard Foton wick burns around 12 hours, just make sure to insert the wick all the way into the pearls to maximize the burn time. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you want to refresh your candle.
Safe for pets
Our pearls are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets since they’re technically not edible and burning with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
Do they float?
All of our white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least a 2" height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water.

We offer both unscented and various scented versions in the white color only. You can see all the scent descriptions in one of the images and in the drop-down menu above. Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them by adding essential or candle fragrance oils close to the wick before lighting it.

Nope, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. That said, we give you plenty of wicks with every Foton so you could refresh your candle as often as you'd like to make it look new again.
You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time.

Yes, just choose one of our Scent Free products and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or candle fragrance oil close to the wick BEFORE lighting it. Please do so at your own risk and comfort level, keeping in mind oils are very flammable and should never be added to a burning candle. You'll find that some oils work better than others, so experiment carefully until you find some that work for you. It is the user’s responsibility for all modifications made to the candles.

Fireproof containers are recommended, but it's possible to also use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The key is to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container edge and to keep the container from heating up while burning. Generally, that means 4" minimum container width at the narrowest part for a single wick but test it carefully and make sure the container is not heating up while burning.

I bought a wooden dish to display the pearls. It smells and looks great. I clip the wicks to fit my container with the 4-2-1 rule in mind. I love the black cherry.

I just received my first bag of dark emerald and I absolutely love it! I also received two of the electric lighters… What a great idea these are and they work wonderful! You can get creative and make your own fun display. We live in a beachside community so I went with seashells that I picked from our beach in a seashell bowl. I think it turned out great.

Traditional candles lose scent quickly and never burn the number of hours they claim and the cost of candles keep going up while they get smaller.
Foton Candles are so amazing they keep the scent you can also make designs and they are safe. Kids love them as it brings out creativity minds and you can use all types of accessories in your house to make a candle. I have found my forever candle no reason to keep looking in stores anymore.
