About the scents...
Foton candles have a medium to mild scent throw as they're often used for large centerpieces. If you're looking for a strong scented candle, Foton may not be right for you.
Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them.
What about the wicks?
Plenty of wicks are included with every Foton candle. Foton samples are too small to safely burn, therefore no wicks are included. Each wick burns around 12 hours, just make sure to insert the wick all the way into the pearls to maximize the burn time. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you want to refresh your candle.
Safe for pets
Our pearls are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets since they’re technically not edible and burning with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
Do they float?
All of our white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least a 2" height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water.

We offer both unscented and various scented versions in the white color only. You can see all the scent descriptions in one of the images and in the drop-down menu above. Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them by adding essential or candle fragrance oils close to the wick before lighting it.

Nope, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. That said, we give you plenty of wicks with every Foton so you could refresh your candle as often as you'd like to make it look new again.
You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time.

Wicks are not included with Foton Scent or Color Samples because our samples are too small to safely burn. The samples are intended to smell the scent options and see the color in person to help decide which candle to buy.

There’s not much throw(fragrance) coming from the candle. I’m very disappointed

While some say they are mild, others say they are too strong. Our strongest scent tends to be our Breezy Blanket! Our candles are carefully crafted to provide a balanced fragrance experience, but we understand that scent perception can vary from person to person and by room size. We appreciate you sharing your experience.

The scents were fun and varied . I particularly liked the festive fir and mulled magic . As stated on the website, the smell is quite mild even in a small room with closed doors. The only other complaint is that the samples are really small so you have to find a very small container to try them in and with cutting the wicks super short to fit that container I only got one use out of each sample. After the first two I did realize I could leave some of the excess pearls from the last one to build it up a little bit. Either way it’s a fabulous idea super eco-friendly and I have just ordered the plain unscented. I will either use essential oils or just enjoy the beautiful light that comes from these plant based pearls.

Love love love. Tailored Tux is my fav. I ordered another scent and it was SUPER strong and a bit much for me, but the exchange was a breeze.
I love the concept, I do wish the wicks came in different heights, I have to cut all of mine and I don’t feel like one wick burns very long that way, but that’s okay. Great candles

I love the colored pearls. We got a red and the Valentines sample pack, and the colors are so vibrant! I do wish the colored pearls were scented, but not an issue that they aren’t. My daughter loved making the heart designs too!

Thank you for the promptly delivered product. My wife was excited to get this as a Christmas present, and I’m sure she’s going to enjoy it.
That said, the unfortunate part about your packaging is that it has “Foton Candle” marked all over the box.
When it was delivered during the day while I was not home, my wife found the box on the front step and instantly knew what she was getting for Christmas.
I know this seems petty, but there are those of us still out there that like to find gifts for our loved ones that they wouldn’t expect and enjoy the surprise response when they open it up.
Thank you again for the quality product. Just an opinion from a customer who bought this as a Christmas gift.

To be able to accurately get an idea of the scent there needs to bee a small wick included. Only once lit can you get the correct scent. Most of the bags with scented sand/product smelled quite perfume'y, but, again, hard to tell.

Got the larger version to play with for my parents anniversary coming up and a little sampler set for myself. I love it I'm totally obsessed!!! Waste of my money huge disappointment. I feel totally ripped off and the samples what a joke u can only sniff them not even enough to do a tealight candle. $50. For what I received fits into a to cup jar and I can get same quality candles from wicks and sticks local markets that last the same amount of time and to do all those fancy bowls with your candles would cost me $300 dollars its a huge rip off
