Regular Size - Contains 15 Wood Wicks, each can burn around 20 hours. Relight the same wick or replace it to refresh your candle. Minimum 4" container size required.
XL Size - Contains 10 XL Wood Wicks, each can burn around 20 hours and deliver a gorgeously dancing flame and a soothing crackling sound. Minimum 8" container size required, perfect for our Oversized Luxe Concrete Bowl.

About the scents...
Foton candles have a medium to mild scent throw as they're often used for large centerpieces. If you're looking for a strong scented candle, Foton may not be right for you.
Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them.
What about the wicks?
Plenty of wicks are included with every Foton candle. Foton samples are too small to safely burn, therefore no wicks are included. Each wick burns around 12 hours, just make sure to insert the wick all the way into the pearls to maximize the burn time. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you want to refresh your candle.
Safe for pets
Our pearls are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets since they’re technically not edible and burning with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
Do they float?
All of our white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least a 2" height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water.

We offer both unscented and various scented versions in the white color only. You can see all the scent descriptions in one of the images and in the drop-down menu above. Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them by adding essential or candle fragrance oils close to the wick before lighting it.

Nope, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. That said, we give you plenty of wicks with every Foton so you could refresh your candle as often as you'd like to make it look new again.
You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time.

Wicks are not included with Foton Scent or Color Samples because our samples are too small to safely burn. The samples are intended to smell the scent options and see the color in person to help decide which candle to buy.

Wood wicks can sometimes require a little extra care, such as trimming away any charred wood before each burn and allowing the melt pool to fully develop. You really must follow the directions on the package! The crackling sound is great, but doesn’t last very long, tho… Otherwise, love the look & sounds great while it’s doing its job!

These sticks look super! But they are hard to keep lit at first. Don't quite know why.

I’ve tried varying lengths. They are so hard to light. The lighter I was using ended up catching on fire because I had to hold the flame on the wick for so long to get it to stay lit.

Hey Dana, Thank you for your feedback. We'd love to help! We do understand that our product is a bit unconventional and there are some do's and don'ts in order to get the max benefit from your Foton. Be sure to push the wick all the way in, leaving just barely the tip out to light. This will give you the max burn time of 12 hours per wick. We hope you this helps! Didnt last long at all. Lasted two days and the smell didnt fill up not even my living toom. You have to be like 3 ft close to the candle to smell it. Does smell good and is pretty, but not worth the price.

I am loving the XL wooden wicks they are beautiful when lit at night and they look like they will last longer than the regular wicks that come with the 64oz bags.
Hi Chrystal, we're so glad you're loving the XL wooden wicks! They do add a beautiful touch to your candles. Please keep in mind that they need an 8 inch clearance around them from the vessel wall and each other, since they created a larger wax pool. Thanks for sharing your experience!
