WHAT'S INCLUDED?
18oz Scent-Free Foton Pearled Candle in the color of your choosing. Each candle contains the following:
- Enough plant-based wax pearls to fill a 30 fl oz container, 3 times bigger than normal 10oz candles and up to 120 hours of burn time, depending on how it's used.
- 30 wicks, each burn around 12 hours. Relight the same wick or replace it to refresh your candle.
Foton Candle pearls are plant-based, vegan, and burn cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. Our pearls are derived from certified sustainably sourced and highly purified plant-based wax. They do not contain paraffin, soy or any known allergens. We use both natural and synthetic fragrances to scent our scented versions. Our scents are free of phthalates and parabens.
The burn time varies greatly based on how it's used. Are you using 1 or more wicks at a time? Do you relight the same wick or replace it to refresh your candle? How long do you burn your candle before refreshing it? That said, Foton burns slower than normal candles and provides up to 120 hours of burn time, longer than most candles.

About the scents...
Foton candles have a medium to mild scent throw as they're often used for large centerpieces. If you're looking for a strong scented candle, Foton may not be right for you.
Please note all of our colored versions (except limited edition products) currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them.
What about the wicks?
Plenty of wicks are included with every Foton. Each standard Foton wick burns around 12 hours, just make sure to insert the wick all the way into the pearls to maximize the burn time. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you want to refresh your candle.
Safe for pets
Our pearls are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets since they’re technically not edible and burning with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the pearls are non-toxic and not expected to be harmful if a small amount is ingested.
Do they float?
All of our white pearls float on water while our colored products are NOT suitable for floating candles. We recommend pouring at least a 2" height of white pearls on top of water and making sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water.

We offer both unscented and various scented versions in the white color only. You can see all the scent descriptions in one of the images and in the drop-down menu above. Please note all of our colored versions currently only come unscented, but you can add your own scent to them by adding essential or candle fragrance oils close to the wick before lighting it.

Nope, you can relight the same wick multiple times and burn it as long as it lasts. Each wick can burn around 12 hours. That said, we give you plenty of wicks with every Foton so you could refresh your candle as often as you'd like to make it look new again.
You can also cut the wick and re-use the part that hasn't been used yet, or flip the wick to bury the melt pool for zero waste while still making your candle look brand new. Keep in mind cutting the wick will shorten the burn time.

Yes, just choose one of our Scent Free products and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or candle fragrance oil close to the wick BEFORE lighting it. Please do so at your own risk and comfort level, keeping in mind oils are very flammable and should never be added to a burning candle. You'll find that some oils work better than others, so experiment carefully until you find some that work for you. It is the user’s responsibility for all modifications made to the candles.

Fireproof containers are recommended, but it's possible to also use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The key is to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container edge and to keep the container from heating up while burning. Generally, that means 4" minimum container width at the narrowest part for a single wick but test it carefully and make sure the container is not heating up while burning.

My husband bought me the Foton candle for Christmas.
I love candles! However, I always find myself complaining about fallen wicks or wasted wax that didnt burn, leading to frustratingly throwing away candles prematurely. My husband stumbled across Foton and thought this would be a great solution! Let me just say, I absolutely love the fact that the Foton candle utilizes ALL of the pearls! The wicks are very easy to use and change out and the candles give off a beautiful glow. We went the unscented route and I very much enjoy the ambiance the candle provides. The candle sits on the front entry table in our home and is a beautiful addition.
I also have come to love how versatile the pearls are. I can make just about any container a candle! How cool!? Instead of buying seasonal candles, I can easily make this one fit the changing decor.
Very happy with this gift and will definitely be buying more for myself and giving away to friends and family!

So amazing in many ways! No need to worry about humans or animals catching anything on fire if the candle holder gets knocked over..puts itself out! No scent. Better on the hvac filter-regular candles can leave your filter very dirty causing you to have to change it out more often. Love the fact that you can change holder as much as you want. Love love love the product!
