Spilling Your Foton Candle

Spilling Your Foton Candle

A common question we get about Foton Pearled Candles is - "What happens if I spill it? Wouldn't it make a mess?"

Watch this demo to find out what happens when you spill a regular vs. a Foton Candle and how the cleanup looks like.

Issues with Traditional Candles

There are two problems with regular candles as it relates to knocking them over:

  1. They continue burning most of the time, causing a fire hazard.
  2. Melted wax is difficult to clean off most surfaces, especially table cloths and carpets.

How is Foton Better than Traditional Candles?

Here's how Foton pearls address these problems.

  1. They typically self-extinguish when knocked over so you could burn candles with less worry even in chaotic environments such as parties and households with kids and pets.
  2. The cleanup is much easier than that of regular candle wax. Most of the unmelted candle pearls can simply be swept up or vacuumed. If any of the melted part stuck, just rub it to turn it into a powder that can be vacuumed up.

"What if it's been burning for a while?"

If you're still a doubter, you may be thinking "what about after it has been burning for a few hours? Wouldn't it just be one big pool of melted wax and no longer self-extinguish?"

Watch this demo to see Foton Pearled Candles knocked over after they've been burning for hours.

The truth is, as long as you follow the instructions for recommended container size, most of the pearls remain unmelted and can still snuff the flame.

Sure, you may be thinking:

"why would anyone leave their candles where pets or kids can reach them?"
or
"who'd be stupid enough to put a candle on something flammable?"

While we absolutely encourage good candle safety practices - don't burn candles on or near anything that can catch on fire or within the reach of kids and pets, we also realize life happens.

As you can see in the demo videos above, Foton candles not only self-extinguish for safety, they are also easier to clean off most surfaces if accidentally spilled.
